2Gen THRIVE

Preventing the intergenerational transmission of ACEs through improving practices and policies within the health care, education, and child welfare systems

About

2Gen THRIVE aims to prevent the intergenerational transmission of ACEs through collaborative, culturally responsive, and strengths-based interventions.

We have conducted policy research to identify how economic security policies can support families thriving.

We are currently implementing a hospital-community partnered intervention to promote access to perinatal mental health care for Black pregnant women that includes:

1) Culturally responsive screening, brief intervention, and referral to resources in the hospital setting

2) Community-based, strengths-focused interventions that reduce stress and promote attachment
